On the glorious day of July 16, 1962, a beautiful, bouncing baby girl came into this world to the proud couple Elroy Hall, Sr. and Evelyn Jo Coulson Williams. She was born in the wonderful town of Fort Worth, Texas, where her mother and father taught her the value of hard work and saving a dollar. They instilled in her good Christian morals and ethics to live by.
Rita received her formal education from the Long Beach Independent School District and graduated from Phineas Banning High School, Class of 1980.
Rita held many different jobs throughout her life, including owner and CEO of Covenant Comfort Housing, as well as owning and investing in T & R Davis Properties, a restaurant, and various other ventures. She was a licensed electrician from 1978 to 1991. Rita also served as a bus driver for FWISD and drove the seniors of Sweet Home to the State Fair each year.
Later in life, Rita accepted her calling to the ministry, dedicating herself to studying the Bible and working with those in need. On March 28, 2015,Rita met and married the love of her life, Tommy Davis, and together they began their journey, leaving no regrets.
On October 22, 2024, Rita heard the golden bell ring, heralding the end of her battle. She laid down her sword in the sands of time and crossed over to the shores of eternity.
Awaiting her are: her parents, Elroy Hall, Sr. and Evelyn Jo Coulson-Williams; grandparents, Rev. Thomas and Vesta Coulson; and her daughter, Eboni Parker.
Left in the caring hands of God, awaiting the great reunion, is her loving husband, Tommy Davis; children: Frank Perry (Erica), Emerson Hall, Ricky Davis, and Raquel Davis; step-father, Leo Williams; brothers: Jeffrey Hall (Sharon), Verdell Hudson, Elroy Hall Jr. (Catrella), and Willie James Hall; sisters: Cathy Harrington and Elaine Hall; aunts: Jaunice Golston, she called anunie (Billy), Ruby Johnson, Norma Smith, Regina Calhoun (Anthony); uncles: Minister Thomas Coulson Jr. (Kay), and David Coulson; grandchildren: Josiah Parker, Nellie Perry, Falisa Perry, Eden Wyatt, Kennedy Luster, Chris Luster, and Lykria Robertson; three great-grandchildren; a special niece, Kim Hines; and a host of other relatives and friends.
