Terry Hornsby

September 7, 1961 — February 12, 2025

Fort Worth

Terry Hornsby was born on September 7, 1961, to Walter Hornsby Jr. and Ruby Ellzey, Terry lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments with family and friends.

A man of warmth and generosity, Terry had a deep passion for football and found great joy in cooking, especially when perfecting his craft as a true barbecue expert. His presence at family gatherings was always marked by his signature dishes, his infectious smile, and the love he poured into every meal he prepared.

Terry heard the master call February 12, 2025 and now joins his beloved mother, Ruby Ellzey, and desr brother Reginald Chris Davis, in eternal peace. Though his physical presence will be missed, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and treasured memories, carried forward by his father, Walter Hornsby Jr.; his brothers, James Earl Hornsby (Twyla) and Fredrick Scott Ellzey (Linda); his sisters, Felicia Thomas, Cynthia Hornsby, Lynthia Kaye Thomas (Kenneth), and Reoshail Renee Magee (Brandon); along with a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.

Terry’s life was a testament to kindness, family, and the simple joys that make life meaningful. Though he has departed from our sight, he will never be absent from our hearts.

Rest in love, Terry. You will always be remembered.
